COURT CLERK OFFICE HOURS:
Monday - Thursday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Friday 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Many violations can be handled prior to coming to court in the court office:
- Speeding
- Ran a Stop Sign
- Ran a Red Light
- Fail to Signal Turn
- Fail to Signal Lane Change
- Disregard Traffic Control Device
- Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility

DEFERRED DISPOSITION
A defendant may be able to dismiss their violation by requesting Deferred Disposition. Deferred Disposition is a probation period in which the defendant must keep a clean driving record for a court ordered period of time.
NON-MOVING VIOLATIONS
Charges of no vehicle registration, expired driver’s license or defective equipment MAY be dismissed in the court office if the expiration date is less than 60 days prior to the date the citation was issued and the violation is corrected within 20 days. There will be a $20.00 dismissal fee (for each violation) required at the time proof of compliance is provided.
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
If a defendant had liability insurance that was valid at the time the citation was issued, he/she must present proof (entire policy or letter from insurance company) in the court office before the court date or appear in court on their scheduled date and time. The charges may be dismissed upon verification of insurance coverage.
CONTESTING A CHARGE
If a defendant wishes to contest a charge(s) they received, they must appear on their court date to enter a plea of not guilty. Once the plea is entered, the judge will set the case for trial. A defendant has the option of requesting a judge trial or a jury trial.
JUVENILES
All juveniles (16 ages and under) are required to appear in court for all proceedings in their case(s) and cannot make online payments. The parent or legal guardian of any juvenile charged in municipal court is required to be present with his or her child.
