Chief David A. Gott
Hedwig Village Police Chief David A. Gott, who holds a bachelor’s degree, has been a police officer for over 36 years. He began his career with the Houston Police Department in 1980 and rose through the ranks, working in many different divisions including Patrol, Robbery, Internal Affairs, Recruiting, Tactical Operations, and eventually retiring as the captain of the Homicide Division. In January 2013, he was appointed chief of the Hedwig Village Police Department. Chief Gott is married, has three grown children and one grandchild.

Captain Paul Warner
Hedwig Village Police Captain Paul A. Warner has been a police officer for 27 years and is a graduate of the Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute. He started his career at the Lake Jackson Police Department in 1989. Captain Warner came to the Hedwig Village Police Department in 1999 as a patrolman and rose through the ranks. Captain Warner has four grown children and two grandchildren.
Civilian Supervisor Amanda Winter
Amanda Winter has been employed with the Hedwig Village Police Department for 11 years. She started out as a dispatcher and was promoted to Civilian Supervisor in 2012. In her current position, Amanda oversees our police telecommunicators and civilian employees. In her spare time, Amanda actively works with dog rescues and is the founder of the Texas Wiener Dog Races.

Sergeant Darryl Kessner
Sergeant Kessner has been in law enforcement for 30 years. His career spans three agencies as well as a variety of duty assignments including, dispatcher, jailor, patrol officer, school resource officer, administrative sergeant, and detective. Sergeant Kessner has achieved a number of state certifications including Firearms Instructor and Court Security Specialist. He currently holds the positions of Day Shift Patrol Supervisor, Firearms Proficiency Officer, and Bailiff Supervisor. Sergeant Kessner is a graduate of the Leadership Command College and a past regional director of the LCC Alumni Association. He has one daughter and lives in Fort Bend County.

Sergeant William Wright
Sergeant Wright has been with the City of Hedwig Village since October of 1987 and is the longest serving officer in Hedwig Village. Sergeant Wright previous served 7 years with the Harris County Constable’s Office, Precinct 5 and attained the rank of Patrol Sergeant. He has a Master’s degree in criminal Justice and recently graduated from the Leadership Command College Class #77. Sergeant Wright has extensive training in property room management and is a Crime Prevention Inspector. Sergeant Wright has one child who lives in Austin, Texas.

Sergeant Steve J. Sanford
Steve Sanford is a lifelong Houstonian and raised his family in NW Houston. He has been at HVPD for 7 years and was promoted to Sergeant (night shift) in 2015. He currently holds the certification of Firearms Instructor, Intox Operator and Defensive Tactics. In 2014 Steve was named "Crime Fighter of the Year," in recognition of professional excellence.  
Sergeant Marvin Collins
Sergeant Collins has been a police officer since 1979. He has worked in both municipal and state police agencies. He holds both a Bachelors and Master’s degree in Criminal Justice Management and has extensive training in the areas of Criminal Investigation, Tactical Operations, Police Defensive Tactics and Police Training. Sergeant Collins trains in Aikido, Shotokan Karate and is a volunteer guitar instructor with the Guitars for Vets program. He is married and has three grown children and two grandchildren.
